• Molar Root Fragment Removal: The primary function of the Fig 4R Seldin elevator is to assist in the removal of root fragments from molars, which are difficult to access after a tooth has been partially extracted or fractured. Its curved blade helps elevate root pieces from the alveolar socket with ease.
• Loosening Teeth: The elevator is used to luxate (loosen) molars from their sockets before extraction. By applying controlled pressure between the tooth and the bone, the Fig 4R Seldin can break the periodontal ligament and loosen the tooth, making it easier to remove with forceps.
